Iconic wine makers of the Maipo Valley in Chile

Tasting at two prestigious wineries

One hour south of Santiago, we reach the Maipo Valley: our destination for the day and cradle of excellent Cabs and iconic Carmeneres. We visit two outstanding producers: Santa Rita and Haras de Pirque, where you will enjoy lunch.

Carmeneres & Cabs of Maipo Valley

After breakfast, you leave the city and drive towards Maipo Valley, the landlocked cradle of Chilean wine-making traditions. Just west of the main Cordillera you enter Viña Santa Rita. You first visit its historic Hacienda, with its lavish gardens. The property itself had an important role on the Independence war that liberated the country. Then it is time for tasting some of their premium wines. Then you make your way to Haras de Pirque Winery, whose founders have excelled in blending two national passions: Horses & Wines. You enjoy lunch at the winery before returning to our hotel in Santiago.
