Ocean Breeze Wines of Casablanca Valley

Drive west for about an hour into Casablanca Valley. The valley benefits from a cool ocean breeze that makes this terroir a perfect one for some of the best Sauvignon Blancs and Chardonnays produced in the country. Our first morning visit is to award-winning winery Bodegas RE (Upcoming Winery 2013 – Chile), a small estate where the Morande family, nine generations into wine, applies a concept of ancestry into the elaboration of premium wines, to the extent of producing some of their wines in the family's old jars.

Later on, we make our way to Matetic Winery, and taste their premium wines over lunch, with the Hacienda's beautiful gardens as backdrop. Afternoon visit of the state-of-the-art, modern winery.
